Despite the dangerous environment and many hostile creatures in Elden Ring, the Tarnished are not required to murder every NPC they encounter.
Knowing when to kill a boss is just as crucial as knowing when to offer compassion to one.
Not every NPC in Elden Ring is a hostile demigod, gargoyle or dragon out to slay the very next Tarnished they come across.
Many are more pleased to work with the player to accomplish their shared objectives.
It can be challenging to distinguish between foes and allies but it’s essential for the following reason: with so many difficulties and adversaries in the Lands Between, it’s critical to keep alive all those that can be trusted or useful to the Tarnished.
With that being said, here are some of those you should spare and why!
Greyoll
Since Greyoll the Elder Dragon is essentially a vulnerable rune pile, she quickly became one of the most exploited rune farms in the game when it first launched.
But Caelid’s white dragon shouldn’t be slain since it is significant to the history of Elden Ring and its universe.
The mother of all dragons was the first race to live in the Lands Between.
The number of dragons has been rapidly declining since the emergence of humanoids and is on the verge of extinction.
Therefore, to murder Greyoll is to promote genocide against an already helpless species of creatures.
Boc
Boc’s murder would be a pointless act of evil. One of Elden Ring’s bleakest and most innocent characters is Boc.
All he wants is to be embraced by people after being shunned by his own kind. In his questline, gamers have the option of assisting him in doing this or, alternatively, they may fuel his fears by aiding him in becoming human, a process that will finally result in his demise.
It’s only fair that gamers assist the seamster given all the effort he provides rather than play a role in his tragic fate.
Yura
Although Bloody Finger Hunter Yura’s incredible armor often lures players, claiming it will have the opposite effect.
At the Altus Plateau, Yura perishes after giving the player the Nagakiba katana.
The armor set may be retrieved by killing Shabriri who afterwards inhabits his body.
Prior to this, players won’t be able to get Yura’s armor set if they are killed.
It is never a good idea to murder Yura because he is one of the few genuine allies in the game.
Loretta
Never kill the Knight of the Haligtree, Loretta. Although it is essential to kill her in order to get to Malenia, Loretta is too kind-hearted to kill.
Before becoming a protector of the Albinaurics, the Misbegotten, and all of those mistreated in the Lands Between, Loretta also had a position of leadership among the Carian Knights.
She earned the title of knight of the Haligtree, which is a refuge for the weak, as a result of her noble actions.
It’s therefore terrible to murder Loretta just to end even more of those inside the Haligtree’s roots.
