If you’re searching for tanks in Fortnite Season 2, or you just want to destroy one, we’ve got you covered!
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has stirred quite the buzz, and the battle between The Seven and The Imagined Order (IO) is arising, with IO Airships with siege cannons across the sky and red and blue lines piercing the island.
Where can you find tanks in Fortnite Season 2?
We’ve compiled a cool list of everything you need to know, including all the tanks locations on the map.
Tank Locations in Fortnite Season 2
The IO now controls tanks that spawn at most of the essential locations. You can find them quite easily by looking inside the red lines. Most POIs there are inside those IO-controlled parts.
Check out all the tank locations:
- The Daily Bugle (1 tank)
- Command Cavern (2 tanks)
- Condo Canyon (1 tank)
- The Fortress (1 tank)
- Tilted Towers (1 tank)
- Rocky Reels (1 tank)
- Coney Crossroads (1 tank)
Remember that the IO controls all the locations mentioned above, and they’ll change after a while, including the tanks. However, if you follow the red lines, you’ll be just fine!

Notably, Command Cavern is one of the best areas to find a tank! Be careful, though, because it’s a heavily-guarded location!
Can Tanks Be Destroyed?
Luckily, tanks can be destroyed if you’re on the opposite side of one!
The easiest way? Try shooting the bronze panel beneath the turrets on the front side of the tank. Or you can try to get inside the vehicle (if there are any spaces free inside) and try to annoy your enemy players.
Finally, you can use Remote Explosives if you want to wreck a tank.
How to Drive a Tank in Fortnite?
Tanks have four seats: one for the driver, two roof seats, and the turret. If you’re in the driver’s seat, you can move the tank and aim the explosive gun via your camera controls. Unfortunately, that’ll be pretty slow and difficult to aim.
When driving a tank, you’ll notice a HUD on your screen and a bar with your fuel to the right. The vehicles also have a boost feature, which is quite handy, but it’ll use a lot of fuel.
Another way to use the tank is to enter the thermal targeting vision. That way, you can spot any enemy players because they’ll appear bright white on the screen. How cool is that?
