The newly released update for Saber Interactive’s Evil Dead: The Game is now available for download. The content brought by the update is inspired by the movie Army of Darkness, produced by MGM and it features a new map, new weapons and cosmetics, as well as a single-player mode.
The new map includes many locations that are familiar to the Evil Dead fandom. The star of the map is Castle Kandar, which is depicted in a masterfully detailed way. Among other recognizable locations are the Windmill, Fort Gort, the Arthurian Outpost and the Castle Kandar Keep, as wccftech.com reports.
The new update also comes with a single-player mode, which is a welcome alternative to the usual co-operative and player-versus-player experiences. In this mode, players have the chance to explore all the locations in the game by themselves, testing their skills against Deadites and familiarizing themselves with the layout of each location.
At the same time, players have the possibility to buy new Ash outfits from Army of Darkness: the Ash Williams S-Mart Employee Outfit and the Ash Williams Gallant Knight Outfit. Two new outfits, Henry The Red’s Scottish Vibe Outfit and Lord Arthur’s Battle Prep Outfit will also be available in a Medieval Bundle that also features a gold getup for Evil Ash and his minions.
According to wccftech.com, the Medieval Bundle includes:
– Henry The Red’s Scottish Vibe Outfit
– Lord Arthur’s Battle Prep Outfit
– Gilded Attire costume pack for the Necromancer Demon army, including Evil Ash.
– New Screamer jump scare image for the Necromancer Demon.
As far as the prices are concerned, the Gallant Knight and the Ash S-Mart Employee Outfits cost $2.99 a piece, while the Medieval bundle can be purchased for $7.99, but is also included with the Evil Dead: The Game’s Season Pass 1.
Evil Dead: The Game can currently be played on Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and on PC.
