It’s only a matter of time until Gotham Knights arrives in the gaming world. The upcoming title will be playable for Xbox Series X/Series S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC.
Gotham Knights will have to prove to the world that a Batman game can still have success while it’s not bringing the Caped Crusader into action. It will be up to Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood to protect the city from evil characters while Batman is nowhere to be found. The Dark Knight has died, but he left an important legacy behind. Will his trusted allies be able to pay their debts?
Thanks to IGN, we already might be able to respond to that question since the first 16 minutes of gameplay included in Gotham Knights were revealed:
The gameplay seems pretty smooth and immersive, and it gives us a Batman: Arkham City vibe. We can see Batgirl under the spotlight as she climbs buildings and looks for clues inside them. We can also see her in action as she teaches some manners to the bad guys. We all have to admit that she surely knows how to ‘dance’!

This section of Gotham Knights 4K gameplay follows the Gotham Knights prologue – which WB Montreal is still keeping secret – and will be the first time you take control of a character. After picking your Gotham Knights character, this section serves to tutorialise some of the games basic traversal and combat mechanics as well as introduce you to the wider mystery taking place in Gotham following the death of Batman.
Unsurprisingly, Gotham Knights will lack any Russian options and subtitles. You may have guessed what the reason behind the decision is: the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine that started back in February.
