The release of The Sims 5 is something that fans of the series have likely been waiting for. There have been leaks, rumors, and so much more over the last several years, but the most recent developments have been less concerned with the franchise’s future.
The Community Manager for The Sims 4 has said that there will be no holiday-themed surprises for The Sims 4 gamers in December, but what about the year 2022? Even though we’re overdue for a new The Sims game, we’re not quite confident that an announcement is imminent.
The third installment, The Sims, was launched in 2009, while the fourth, The Sims 4, arrived five years later, in 2014. After almost eight years, it’s time for a new Sims game. But if people keep purchasing expansion packs for The Sims 4, would EA even bother making another game?
Even though the latest consoles have been on the market for a year, PC gamers have always linked The Sims with that system. New consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, however, may alter that. The Sims 5 has the potential to realize all of the game’s potential. At least in principle…

This means the road map will be released next month as planned. With any luck, this will pave the way for The Sims 5 details.

Fans of The Sims have been left feeling shortchanged by the release of the High School Years Expansion Pack last week, since it has been plagued by a number of glitches and content concerns.
Many have expressed dismay at the prospect of the information being released regardless of the obvious problems that might be discovered with adequate quality assurance.
