It speculates that in 2023, Earth will experience two lunar eclipses. On May 5 will be the next lunar eclipse that will be visible across parts of Asia, Africa, and Australia, and it will be a penumbral eclipse. The second one will be a partial lunar eclipse visible across parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, E. Americas, and Australia.

What exactly is a lunar eclipse?

A lunar eclipse happens when Earth is placed between the sun and the moon and emits a shadow across the moon’s surface. This could happen only during a full moon.

The last total lunar eclipse was on November 8, 2022, and the next one won’t happen until March 14, 2025.

The last lunar eclipse, known as Beaver Blood Moon, was visible from New Zealand, South America, Asia, and Australia.The Beaver Blood Moon was a rare lunar eclipse, but why is it red?

Well, the reddish appearance of the lunar surface when the moon does not disappear from view. Also, it is caused by rays of sunlight around the eclipse shadow or umbra being filtered and refracted through Earth’s atmosphere.

3. Penumbral lunar eclipse

The unclear outer part of Earth’s shadow is emitted across the lunar surface, and it isn’t easy to see.
