Some Switch games have outsold Wii U titles, while the console is set to surpass the Wii U as the company’s best-selling home console so far.
The Switch’s distinctive hybrid design and an ever-expanding game selection with unusually robust third-party support are also one of our favorites. But how about the best games you can get for your Switch?
Check them all out below!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The latest installment in the Animal Crossing series, New Horizons, is the greatest so far (there’s no surprise!). What’s best is that it actually simplifies a lot of the cumbersome elements from earlier games and comes up with plenty of sleek content.
Celeste
Developed by MattMakesGames (the company that also produced the outstanding Towerfall), Celeste is a stunning and unforgettable game paradox (that’s its secret!).
The game could turn out to be your favorite in no time, thanks to its room-based levels and distinct 2D artwork. You can also give it a try because it’s great for playing on the move on the Switch!
Bayonetta 3
Bayonetta 3 is a fantastic, mechanically complex, action-packed game that allows you to morph into a sleek hell train in order to defeat enormous creatures intent on destroying the multiverse. Quite impressive, isn’t it?!
Moreover, the game stars a drag queen named Bayonetta, who is strong, self-assured, and extremely funny! The world is only weakly kept together by witchcraft, and the resultant chaos is genuinely magical, so why should you miss something like that?!
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Probably one of the best video games of the last ten years may very well be The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which represents the series’ largest change since Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 (how many fans are out there?!).
The game is so complex that there is almost too much to do and see, a well-written tale that you must discover yourself, weapons that deteriorate and crafting.
There is simply so much to do here, with challenges for every level and some sleek DLC add-ons.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
This version of Mario Kart includes gravity-defying hover tires to make races more visually exciting and automatic gliders for when you fly off ramps. But, at its core, it’s still Mario Kart!
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is also a fantastic demonstration of the variety of the Switch support: online races or Switch-on-Switch pandemonium are also possibilities, as well as two-player split-screen anyplace.
