J. Cole fans just received a surprise. On Wednesday night, producer Bvtman announced the rapper’s new track, “Procrastination (Broke).” The song was never supposed to be released, but it was as a thank-you to the producer.

Where Did J. Cole Find Inspiration For This Song?

Cole struggled to find inspiration and searched on Youtube “J. Cole type beat.” He was directed to Bvtman’s channel. This channel includes many beats that pay homage to artists like Cole, Nipsey Hussle, Kendrick Lamar, 21 Savage, Drake, Kanye West, and more. Cole got out of his inspiration problem and started writing once he heard the “Procrastination” beat.

While Bvtman was driving on the highway, he received a random message from Cole’s longtime manager, Ibrahim “IB” Hamad. Here is Bvtman’s reaction after he read the text message:

The track arrives as fans the follow-up to Cole’s 2021 album The Off Season. In 2019, the rapper began teasing his next moves, suggesting he would drop a few more records before bowing out.

A long-term plan of becoming the best rapper I could possibly be before hanging up my jersey, leaving nothing on the table when all was said and done. The seeds for The Fall Off were planted.

Jermaine Lamarr Cole is an American rapper and record producer. He was born on a military base in Germany and raised in North Carolina, in Fayetteville. His debut mixtape was The Come Up in 2007. Cole’s first mixtapes released were The Warm Up in 2009 and Friday Night Lights in 2010. The first album released was Cole World: The Sideline Story in 2011, and it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. Meanwhile, his next album Born Sinner in 2013, was on top. J. Cole earned a Best Rap Album nomination at the 2015 Grammy Awards with the 2014 Forest Hills Drive album.
