The creator of the upcoming remake of Konami’s Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team, has issued a fresh statement to address some recent remarks made regarding the game’s official release schedule.
In other words, the president of Bloober Team recently provided a Silent Hill 2 update, which seems to hint that the remake would be coming sooner rather than later.
But as we now know, this doesn’t appear to be the case at all.
Bloober Team has now explicitly said that Silent Hill 2 is not “ready for release” in a tweet sent on their official Twitter account.
In response to the company’s president’s remarks from the previous week, Bloober Team claimed that the conveyed message was simply not translated accurately.
As a result, contrary to what fans were originally led to think in a prior article, Silent Hill 2 is not “technically ready” for release.
The tweet reads: “It is also not true that we’ve announced that Silent Hill 2 is ready for release. Regardless of development stage, all our activities are focused on offering the highest quality for the final product – the quality fans of Silent Hill 2 deserve. We’re aware that players are waiting for further information about Silent Hill 2. As soon as such information is available, we’re sure that Konami, the publisher for this game, will share it with all of the fans.”

All that being said, when exactly the remake of Silent Hill 2 will be released is still unknown at this point in time.
The game’s debut window was completely absent from Konami’s announcement of the project last year.
Little is known about this new version of Silent Hill 2 other than the general confirmation of its availability on PC and the PS5.
More information should most likely arrive in the upcoming weeks and months, but for the time being, fans will just have to wait for further updates.
