For console subscription services, April is definitely quite a crucial month. PlayStation users are already enjoying a treat with the impending release of Ghostwire: Tokyo on Xbox Game Pass last week.

With that being said, PlayStation Plus now offers Kena: Bridge of Spirits for gamers to enjoy for free!

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is one of the current indie studio adventure titles that has received the most attention.

As mentioned before, this game’s genre is action adventure and blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and quick-fire fighting with an engaging narrative.

Players need to take on the role of the game’s namesake Kena, a youthful Spirit Guide, and have to work to bring harmony back to an old hamlet in a once-thriving setting.

This piece of news comes almost two years after the game’s PlayStation debut on September 21, 2021.

At The Game Awards that same year, it went on to win multiple accolades, including Best Independent Game as well as Best Debut Indie Game.

The Anniversary DLC upgrade for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which debuted in September 2022, is included in the PlayStation Plus edition.

This includes new Kena Outfits, Spirit Guide Trials, and even Charmstones.

Along with combat interactions that have been overhauled and made more difficult, it also includes accessibility features and a New Game+ option that enables players who have finished the game to resume Kena’s quest with all of their previously gained skills, improvements, clothes, Rot, etc.

The Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab, Josh Grier, stated that “Kena: Bridge of Spirits still means a great deal to us as our debut game. We are very excited to welcome brand new players to take the journey with Kena throughout the spirit world, meet her Rot friends, and discover the mysteries and puzzles that world has to offer.”

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is, impressively enough, a game that took only 14 developers to build.

It has since developed into a highlight of the first PlayStation 5 software library.

That being said, the PlayStation 4 version of the game is available as well for those who still game on the last gen console.
