Teclast, one of the biggest and oldest tablet manufacturers in China, is back in business with a budget-friendly tablet! The new Teclast T40S might be exactly what you’ve been looking for in such devices if your demands aren’t too high and if you’re a bit short on money.
Teclast T40S features a 10.4-inch 2K display and runs on the Android 12 OS. This is somewhat a surprise, considering that some people were expecting to see at least the Android 13 version running on the tablet. The device is also equipped with an 8-core MediaTek MT8183 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. These specs can collaborate with one another pretty well in order to make the tablet provide immersive content that will take a toll on the hardware parts. Notebookcheck has spotted the information regarding T40S’s release and specs.
Teclast T40S is priced under $200
While the tablet offers a high-resolution IPS display for those moments when the user needs to see photos and animation at decent quality, it needs to be said that the device still lacks Widevine L1 certification. This limits the tablet’s ability to stream content in 1080p, unfortunately.
The tablet has a 6,000 mAh battery and includes both 5 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing cameras. If you already want to buy the product, you have to keep in mind that it will cost you somewhere under $200 while purchasing it from AliExpress and Amazon in select countries.
You also won’t have any trouble carrying the Teclast T40S around in a backpack or briefcase, as it’s very light. The tablet weighs only 475 g.
No, tablets aren’t dead as some people might have thought; they’re just going through some changes. The importance of having a tablet in certain situations cannot be neglected. Let’s suppose you’re a teacher and you need to show your students a presentation and also edit it at the same time. Obviously, a tablet can come in handy in such situations.
