During Summer Game Fest, Twisted Metal fans had their finest chance to view the upcoming TV program adaptation of the video games.
Anthony Mackie plays John Doe, the main character in Peacock’s new series, while Samoa Joe plays Sweet Tooth.
Both of these performers are seen in the latest teaser as they square off against one another in what appears to be a casino environment.
Since the premiere of the show is set for July 27, we may anticipate seeing a lot more of it before the entire season is published at once.
Following its debut during the first showcase of Summer Game Fest, the aforementioned footage is provided for viewing below.
Given what we know about Sweet Tooth from the games, Mackie’s character in the footage is significantly outmatched.
Twisted Metal fans will already be aware that the clown’s official name is Needles Kane, not Sweet Tooth.
However, many still refer to him by that moniker, so it appears that he will use it in the television series.
Sweet Tooth and John Doe perform some of Sisqo’s “Thong Song” while engaging in a little corny banner.
Will Arnett provides the voice for Sweet Tooth, even though he is actually played by Samoa Joe.
If you’re not familiar with the original game series or are just curious about the route PlayStation Productions is taking the adaptation, a summary of the program that was released before this trailer will get you up to speed.
A preview for the show shared that “A motor-mouthed outsider is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he is able to deliver a mysterious package across a post apocalyptic wasteland successfully . With the help of a trigger happy car thief, he will face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction as well as other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”
