Therefore, the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) is able to allow Windows 11-based laptops/desktop computers to run Android apps that are offered by the Amazon Appstore.

Microsoft adds file sharing to Windows Subsystem for Android
Microsoft is rolling out a significant update to the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) on Windows 11. The new update allows people to share files between Windows 11 and WSA, which was a highly requested feature by the public, as XDA reveals. Users now have the possibility to share folders such as documents and pictures, facilitating activities such as video editing or photo editing with Android apps.
The folder-sharing feature will also be enabled by default, but users can disable it if they want. App permissions will be required for reading or editing files, which is a nice privacy aspect.
However, there are some limitations, such as the inability to access external devices or Windows system folders. The new update also includes improvements like file transfer using drag and drop, a redesigned settings interface, as well as compatibility enhancements.
Microsoft even encourages its users to provide feedback to further enhance the WSA experience. Once the beta testing of the June WSA update becomes complete, the new features will be available to regular Windows 11 users.
The implementation of the Windows Subsystem for Android could be seen as another way for Microsoft to put pressure on its users in order to make the upgrade to Windows 11. That’s because the software tool doesn’t work on computers that use Windows 10 or Windows 7.
