Samsung continues to look for ways to improve its new Galaxy S23 lineup, although we’re talking about the flagship devices of 2023. Technology is permanently evolving, as the standards of the customers do.
Samsung has released a new bulky camera update for all three of its flagship devices: the standard Galaxy S23, the S23 Plus, and the S23 Ultra. The new update is known as AWF1, as Notebookcheck has discovered from Samsung’s official website.

The new AWF1 update has already started rolling out, which means that if you have one of Samsung’s new flagship models, you must keep it connected to a WiFi network.
The AWF1 camera update upgrades portrait mode by adding a 2x zoom option, which is perhaps the most interesting feature. Samsung has also revised the processing of its night mode through the new update, which means that if you’re not satisfied with how your Galaxy S23 takes photos during the night, grabbing the AWF1 update is a “must.”
However, the good news is far from over when it comes to Samsung’s new update. By installing it, autofocus and the HDR performance will also do a better job while taking photos, while UI animations and tweaking haptics have also been improved.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra likely remains the best smartphone of the new flagship lineup of the South Korean giant. Packed with a huge 200MP main camera sensor, the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display of 120Hz for the refresh rate, the Galaxy S23 Ultra sure is one hell of a phone.
