Pokemon Go will welcome a special event soon, featuring the New Pokemon Snap game. Rumour has it that we’re going to enjoy one of the best stuff so far in the game.
After a decade of waiting, Pokemon fans will finally get the chance to revive many memories of the classic N64 photography series thanks to the New Pokemon Snap game. The best part is that Niantic will double the fun, celebrating the sequel with an epic crossover event in Pokemon Go.

The New Pokemon Snap Celebration Details
The special event will coincide with the debut of the New Pokemon Snap on Switch, which is on April 29 at 10 AM. The festivities in Pokemon Go will be available until May 2 at 8 PM local time.
The New Pokemon Snap Celebration will focus a lot on photography, leaning heavily on Go’s camera features. But that’s not all.Â
Trainers will also get the chance to meet the Shiny Smeargle! This Gen II Pokemon will happily pop up in pictures shot by players. And if you’re lucky enough, you can stumble upon its new rare version.
The New Pokemon Snap Celebration Tips & Tricks
The four-day celebration will pack some of the best goodies. From 5-star raids featuring the beloved Meganium to Special Research, you must be prepared.Â
Here are some useful tips and tricks that might help you in your journey:
- The Snapshot Feature:Â becoming familiar with the Snapshot features is essential if you want to get everything done; here, you can learn how to take snapshots in Pokemon Go;
- Save some Pinap Berries:Â Pinap Berries are great during this special event; they will make evolving ‘mon much easier;
- Stock up on Remote/ Raid Passes:Â chances to encounter Meganium, Trapinch, or Vaporeon are higher during the event, so make sure you won’t miss out;
- Refill your PokeBall bag:Â you must have enough PokeBalls to catch ‘mon such as Cacnea, Ducklett, Aipom, and Lotad; these creatures are not very common, so you better collect some Candy, as well, to evolve them.
