Imagining Dragon Ball without Goku would be like trying to imagine how a wedding would be without the bride. The beloved Saiyan has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, even though he mostly uses the Kamehameha wave, the Super Saiyan techniques, and the Kaioken attack doubled by the Super Saiyan Blue transformation.
Goku is, without a doubt, one of the strongest superheroes in anime. He is the protector of the innocent, the defender of the Earth, as well as the hero who is always there for those who need him and cry out for peace. It’s also true, however, that Goku gets a lot of help from his allies. Other fighters such as Vegeta Gohan, or Piccolo are always willing to lend Goku a hand when it is needed. While the vast majority of Dragon Ball fans know about Goku’s most used techniques, we cannot say the same about some other attacks of the beloved Saiyan that we will be talking about in this article.
Without further ado, let’s get into detail:
Destructo Disc
Destructo disc is one of the special attacks that Krillin has. Even though the little Earthling is considered weak by comparison with the rest of the Z fighters, the Destructo Disc can be a very devastating move if it is used properly. This attack can slice an enemy in half if it hits. It’s true, however, that the Destructive Disc can be harmless against powerful enemies, as it can truly be lethal.
Goku borrowed the Destructo disc attack from Krillin in the Majin Buu saga of Dragon Ball Z and has used it against Majin Buu. The attack managed to work as it sliced the evil monster in half, but Majin Buu’s regeneration technique allowed him to get back in the battle in no time. However, that moment proved that Goku can easily borrow attacks when the situation demands it.
Solar Flare
The solar Flare attack is a special move that Tien has been using in Dragon Ball Z and the original Dragon Ball series. This attack is used to blind the enemy by generating a huge flash of light. As the enemy was blinded, the user of the technique had all the freedom to do anything he wanted.
If we take a look back at the early Dragon Ball Z during Goku’s battles with Vegeta, we can remind ourselves of the moment when our beloved Saiyan used the Solar Flare attack against the Saiyan Prince. Nobody was expecting such a move from Goku at that moment, but it proved once again that Dragon Ball’s protagonist is capable of unexpected moves.
The energy mines
During the battle between Goku and Jiren back in the Tournament of Power Arc from Dragon Ball Super, which ended back in early 2018, our hero planted energy mines against his opponent. At that moment, Jiren was easily the strongest opponent that Goku had ever faced, so the Saiyan had to figure out something new as soon as possible. Therefore, Goku planted energy mines around Jiren when the member of Universe 11 was not looking. Later on in the battle, Goku detonated those energy mines, and the blast caught Jiren with his guard down. That was a pretty clever move from Goku, and it proved once again that the Saiyan warrior has a lot of aces up his sleeve if it is needed.
We can realistically hope at this point that the future of Dragon Ball will bring a lot of interesting stuff. We can expect the Dragon Ball Daima anime series to launch this fall, and the scenario of that upcoming show is pretty unique. The Z warriors will be turned into kids for the first time. While some Dragon Ball fans are upset about this turn of events, others see it from a more optimistic perspective.
