The Samsung foldable phone will finally get the support it needs for the S Pen stylus. The FCC filings for the S Pen Pro are now public, and we have learned a lot about the following release. For those of you who don’t know, the S Pen Pro is the bigger version of the S Pen, that also comes with Bluetooth connectivity, and it might be the perfect choice for users of the Fold line. It has been revealed that the soon-to-hit-the-market stylus will work hand in hand with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 (which is the next in line in the Z Fold line). We have also heard that the stylus will support the S21 Ultra, and the Note 20 lineup.
But we must confess, this is not exactly a major surprise for us. The company has given plenty of hints about the S pen support for foldable phones – and they have done it for a very long time now.
Last year’s Unpacked event came with a lot of surprises, and the company was happy to learn that people want the S Pen to work with the Fold line. The company wanted to bring some of the features of Galaxy Note to other devices, as well. That’s when they first hinted at the stylus support.
Of course, there are leaks on the internet that show a phone with a stylus — the phone appears to be the Galaxy Z Fold 3, with the S Pen next to it. Will the Z Fold 3 come with the Fold Edition stylus? We are bound to find out soon.
The FCC documents are now public and they show that a certain product will be announced soon. We think that the S Pen will be the next to be announced in August. Samsung has always held its Unpacked events in August, and, as expected, this year’s event is scheduled for the 11th of August. These are plenty of devices that we expect to be revealed at the show: from Galaxy Watches, to Z Flip 3, Z Fold 3 and new Galaxy Buds.
