The wait has surely been unbearable for some people, but the stable version of Android 13 is only a few months away. It promises to bring a series of interesting functionalities that previous versions of the mobile operating system don’t have, and we’re so glad for that!

According to XDA-Developers.com, Google is already trying to make it possible for Android users to access the device controls of their phones even while those gadgets are locked. The new feature is expected to arrive in Android 13, as you probably already guessed.

Android 13 is expected around June or July

We can realistically hope that Google will release a stable version of its Android 13 operating system sometime around June or July 2022.

It seems that Android 13 DP2 will implement the possibility of controlling the option of unlocking the device or not using an API and for controlling a smart home device. Thanks to XDA Senior Member and Tasker developer joaomgcd, a new video explains more:

There are plenty of phones that will be eligible for the update towards Android 13. As expected, many of them are from the Samsung brand, one of the top smartphone manufacturers in the world.
