Black Mirror, the sci-fi TV series from Netflix, ended in 2019 after five seasons and 23 episodes. But it wasn’t exactly the end of the road, as a sixth season is also coming. The main storyline of the series has been exploring a high-tech multiverse, and we can’t wait to see how the story will continue.
Season 6 of Black Mirror will be pretty diversified. Each of the new episodes will have a different concept. There will even be new actors and characters in the cast.
No precise release date has been revealed so far
Although there’s no exact information about when Season 6 of Black Mirror comes out, we can expect the event to occur at some point in 2023. It’s also reasonable to expect to see Black Mirror on Netflix, although the show had its first two seasons airing on the British network Channel 4. It would be absurd to believe that Season 6 won’t be available on Netflix.
Here’s an overview of the show’s storyline via IMDb:
Set in a world only minutes from our own, “Black Mirror”, a UK and USA non-hosted anthology series; unveils how modern technologies can backfire and be used against their makers, every episode set in a slightly different reality with different characters combating different types of technologies. The series ran from 2011 until 2019.
Charlie Brooker, the creator of Black Mirror, stated for the UK’s Radio Times:
At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.
Black Mirror had its debut in 2011, and the series won 6 Primetime Emmys.
