What does it get to in a superhero shape? What does a superhero eat?
Well, for those questions, Chris Hemsworth may have the best answers. The star’s diet and workout routine to get in shape for his role are quite inspiring and challenging.
Hemsworth’s trainer revealed the exact workout and diet plan the star follows. From how many meals a day to heavy lifting and more.
Here is what you need to know.
He Chooses to Eat 8 Meals a Day
Who said that eating is easy? For Chris, it’s not just breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
His trainer, Luke Zocchi, has revealed that the star eats more than usual to bulk up for the Thor role. So, Chris chooses to eat 6 to 8 meals a day.
Heavy Lifting For a Thor Physique
Dietary changes alone won’t get the star anywhere near the fantastic Thor shape. So, Chris trains at least once a day, and it’s just heavy lifting, sometimes, HIIT and boxing, too.
A 2-Hour Eating Schedule
Eating 8 meals a day is not that challenging for Chris. He also eats every 2 hours!
To make sure he’s eating enough to build and support muscle, the star eats his meals spaced out every 2 hours throughout the day.
“He found if he easts a really big meal he, like, feels too heavy, so they’re 450-calorie meals broken up into the eight,” explains Zocchi.
Start the Day With Something Green
Chris is also a smoothie lover! He starts his day with a delicious green shake.
He includes:
- 5-6 different types of leafy greens and vegetables;
- low-glycemic fruits;
- nuts;
- seeds;
- fats;
- small amounts of sea salt.
Red Meat For Extra Power
Chris chooses red meat to make sure he’s getting enough protein. It’s also great for his muscle gains.
So, for a Thor role, the star eats a bit more red meat than usual only during the daytime.
Chris Hemsworth’s diet and workout plan could match Thor’s lifestyle a lot!
