Cyberpunk 2077 – Worst Characters to Romance in the Game

screenrant.com

Even in a dystopian setting like Night City, love can still blossom, but some of Cyberpunk 2077’s romance possibilities are actually terrible ideas.

V might want to indulge in one of Cyberpunk 2077’s romance options when they’re not busy killing goons, teasing Johnny, or speeding through the neon streets in a flashy car.

Unfortunately, some characters are just not worth it for one reason or another.

In Cyberpunk 2077, there aren’t many love possibilities for V to begin with, which exacerbates the problem.

With that being said, here are some of the romance options in the game you are better off avoiding.

Joytoys

Smasher is transformed into a Joytoy in a Cyberpunk 2077 mod, although the in-game sex workers aren’t nearly as fun to interact with.

Players may see plenty of tempting billboards even as they merely stroll around the streets of Night City, which isn’t exactly famed for its chastity.

The Joytoys were not exactly a focus during development, especially during its glitchy debut, which makes sense.

But even after two years, it’s astonishing from a narrative perspective that V can engage with only two of these characters.

Meredith, Kerry, and River all sadly fell under the category of the game’s worst choices, and they all deserved better.

They all blend in well with Night City’s alluringly gloomy future, but they are sadly devoid of any meaningful narrative or significance.

Kerry

The most satisfying male option for V in Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely Kerry Eurodyne, although the ex-rocker boy could have been a far better choice.

Considering Johnny’s ongoing presence inside V’s head, the very idea of dating and becoming close to the former Samurai member seems quite bizarre, but it’s just the kind of head-scratching, limit-pushing relationship that may have taken the spotlight from the game’s poster ladies, Panam and Judy.

It’s unfortunate that Kerry ended up being one of Cyberpunk 2077’s least interesting romantic options due to the restrictions placed on their relationship.

Meredith

Depending on how they play their cards during “The Pickup” task, Meredith Stout, one of the game’s worst romantic prospects, may pass away before V ever has a chance to get to know her.

The Militech agent will really message gamers first and invite them over for some one-on-one time if they were respectful of her during their initial meeting and subsequently declined to divulge her role to Royce.

Unfortunately, if V agrees, they will have a romance that goes virtually nowhere.

Compared to Panam or Judy’s romances in Cyberpunk 2077, Meredith’s romance arc does not feel significant.

Although it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary for the busy corpo woman to favor a one-night stand, her romance feels underwhelming because the player doesn’t feel any sort of emotional connection to the character.

Knowing a little bit more about Meredith’s life or personality would have been helpful even if players only spent one night with her.
