With cinematographic successes like Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and Joy, David O. Russell returns to the big screens with its most recent production – Amsterdam.
The highly anticipated movie has just dropped its trailer, revealing a constellation of famous movie stars who will appear in it: Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington in the main roles, together with Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Alessandro Nivola, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Taylor Swift, Zoe Saldaña, Rami Malek, Robert De Niro and even Taylor Swift.
The story of the movie seems to take place at the beginning of the 20th century and centers around a nurse, a doctor and a lawyer who make up a team that investigates a suspicious plot. While the trailer does not reveal much about the situation described in the movie, the official synopsis states that the production is

What we find out from the trailer
US Magazine noted that, although it’s not very explicit, there is some information we can get from the recently released trailer. Therefore, we know that Christian Bale plays a doctor and John David Washington stars as a lawyer, both of them being war veterans that are investigated for murder. Margot Robbie’s character is a nurse who also joins the party and helps with the investigation. All three try to uncover a mystery by turning to their friends and acquaintances for help, characters which are played by Rami Malek, Anya Taylor-Joy and Zoe Saldaña.
The movie is set to be released in theaters on November 4th and it will probably be streamed online either on Hulu, or on Disney+, as it is produced by 20th Century Studios, which is owned by the Walt Disney Company.
