Behaviour Interactive, the company behind Dead by Daylight, has teased a new killer that resembles the Terminator quite a bit.
According to a brief teaser image posted on social media, this Killer will lean more toward science fiction than it does the supernatural, in contrast to many of the other Killers in the game.
Like Behaviour usually does with these teases, a full reveal is soon to follow.
The only thing we have for the time being is the teaser below, which only provides us with about 30 seconds of content to analyze for any hints about what’s to come.
However, at the very end of the teaser, Behaviour confirms that we will learn more about Tools of Torment on February 15, giving us the official title of the upcoming Chapter.
The teaser certainly has a Terminator vibe to it at first glance.
Schematics spread out on a table reveal the objectives of whoever constructed the device the skull is wearing, and the skull itself has what resembles an eye patch that unmistakably conjures up the image of a Terminator’s flaming eyes.

So is the iconic character actually coming to Dead by Daylight?
Given that pretty much everything from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Nightmare on Elm Street is included, licensed killers are nothing new in this game.
However, will this particular killer be a part of the Terminator Chapter?
It’s unlikely to be an official Terminator crossover based on what is depicted in the teaser trailer.
In the teaser, the skull appears to be a real human skull rather than one made of metal, which contradicts what we have seen in the Terminator movies.
The red glow emanating from the mouth is another instance where it comes close to fitting the description of a Terminator but falls short of being an exact match.
What then is in this Chapter if it isn’t the Terminator?
At the very least, a sci-fi-style Killer is definitely in the cards, and what else is planned is indicated by the most recent update to the game’s roadmap.
This Chapter ought to usher in both the new Killer and the new Survivor that the roadmap predicts will appear in March. Just don’t expect to get a new map included in the upcoming DLC, though, as there is no mention of one.
