A lot of folks complain that the gaming world is going down the rabbit hole – the developers are making levels more and more easy, intuitive, they focus too much on the story, and so on. But perhaps we should count our blessings more and realize that, at least for some part of the industry, you simply can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
Dead Island 2 is Deep Silver’s idea of a survival game where the player needs to make his way through the city of Los Angeles, which has been invaded by a horrifying virus that turns people into zombies. Dead Island 2 will launch in just about a week, and there are strong reasons already to hope that we’re not talking about one of those boring video games.
Dead Island 2 minimum system requirements look decent… almost.
The devs from Deep Silver have revealed the list of system requirements for those willing to play Dead Island 2 on the PC. If you can be satisfied with the minimum graphical settings of the game, here are the minimum specs that you’ll need on your PC:
- CPU: AMD FX-9590 / Intel Core i7-7700HQ
- RAM: 10GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
- Storage space: 70 GB
Obviously, the minimum system requirements look decent except for the CPU. Not many people can afford an i7 Intel processor to play a video game.
If you want to run the game on the recommended settings, the stakes rise even more:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel Core i9 9900K
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2070 Super
In case you have a powerful gaming monitor at home that you wish to use to play Dead Island 2 at maximum settings, meaning to reach 4K resolution at 60FPS, here’s what kind of a PC you’ll need:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900 X / Intel Core i7-13700K
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
Apart from the PC compatibility, Dead Island 2 will also be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
