A lot of gamers are eager to play Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, as their predecessors don’t need any presentation. Both games will belong to very successful series, and the gaming world always reaches new standards.
IGN.com brings some news that will upset many people: the launch for both Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 is delayed. Developers are working hard at both games, and they had now decided that it’s time for a delay. Activision Blizzard announced the news of the delay for the two major gaming titles.
Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 won’t launch in 2022
A launch date for the two games in question wasn’t revealed, but even so, most hints were revealing a release in 2022. Considering the postpone, the games will most probably land on gaming platforms in 2023 or even beyond.
If you think you’ve guessed what the reason behind the delay is, we hate to disappoint you. Activision Blizzard declared as quoted by IGN.com:
These are two of the most eagerly anticipated titles in the industry, and our teams have made great strides toward completion in recent quarters,
But we believe giving the teams some extra time to complete production and continue growing their creative resources to support the titles after launch will ensure that these releases delight and engage their communities for many years in the future.
Diablo is known as a hack and slash dungeon crawler game series, and its development was continued by Blizzard Entertainment after Blizzard North was shut down in 2005. Diablo 3 was released in 2012, and the fact that Diablo 4 will be at least 10 years old is a bit amusing and exciting at the same time. Who knows what beautiful and immersive graphics the sequel will have?
Overwatch, on the other hand, falls into the ” team-based multiplayer first-person shooter” category. The game was launched in May 2016. Waiting over five years for a sequel may be exaggerated, but judging by the hints we have until now, Overwatch 2 will surely be worth playing.
