Have you ever wondered what it would be like if, God forbid, a nuclear war erupted? Throughout the time, many people tried to imagine such a terrible scenario and added it into movies and video games. An upcoming game proposes exactly that scenario – its name is “DMZ: Nuclear Survival,” and it’s qualified as an open-world game.

DMZ: Nuclear Survival will throw you into a chaotic, post-nuclear wasteland where survival doesn’t mean just staying alive — it’s about building power as well. In this upcoming multiplayer, open-world crafting game, your mission is to forge your own private military force from scratch. You will have to turn everyday survivors into hardened soldiers while venturing across a massive, ever-changing map. That’s not all, as you’ll also have to dig through ancient ruins for long-lost tech, scavenge to stay ahead, and even prepare to fight tooth and nail in a world where only the ruthless have a chance to survive.

Here’s part of the game’s description via Steam:

Set in a new supercontinent, “Pangea,” born from tectonic shifts caused by nuclear war, born from tectonic shifts caused by the war, where an intense battle for survival unfolds. Players will excavate ancient ruins scattered across the land—such as pyramids, terracotta warriors, and Roman temples—researching relics, crafting items, and even resurrecting powerful soldiers from ancient genes to revive a fallen civilization. Fight for survival.

At this point, it seems like DMZ: Nuclear Survival will only be available for Windows PC’s. Even though we don’t know much about the system requirements, we do know for sure that the game requires you to have an SSD mounted on your computer. However, it’s reasonable to expect that, judging by the trailer, the upcoming game will also demand a minimum of 8GB of RAM and 2GB of video memory for the graphics card.
