Say what you want about Donald Trump, but you have to admire his courage to regularly say what he thinks openly and without hesitation in public. It doesn’t matter that much if you agree with his claims or not, either. In a world dominated by political correctness, speaking your ideas out loud, even though they can upset some people, is surely an act of courage.
Perhaps that’s why the former US President is not a big fan of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. However, Donald Trump has many fans who are interested to see what he has to say, and social platforms can surely grant a lot of help in that area.
Meta will reinstate Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts
A new report from BBC News reveals that Meta is willing to reinstate the Facebook and Instagram accounts of Donald Trump. However, the former President of the US will have to seriously consider his behavior while using the platforms again, as pretty much any wrong move could lead to his accounts being suspended once again.
You might already be familiar when it comes to why Donald Trump has been missing from social media for about two years already. The former US President was banned from Facebook and Instagram in January 2021, following the events of the January 6th Capitol riot, in which Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol while Congress was certifying the 2020 presidential election results. The social media platforms determined that Trump’s statements on his social media accounts prior to and during the riot incited violence and therefore violated their policies against inciting violence and promoting hate.
Donald Trump is a highly polarizing figure and his popularity varies greatly depending on one’s political views. During his presidency, Trump had a strong base of supporters who were drawn to his nationalist and populist message, as well as his willingness to challenge the political establishment.
