In the manga version of Dragon Ball Super, both Goku and Vegeta had achieved heights in power that they would have never thought possible. And most probably, neither did the fans themselves. Goku finally managed to master his Ultra Instinct technique during his fight with Moro, while Vegeta achieved a brand new transformation that can finally rival the one of his old rival: it’s called Ultra Ego.
Goku and Vegeta seem invincible with their new forms, as they’re far stronger than a Super Saiyan Blue, not to mention the regular Super Saiyan with gold hair. Their strengths can now finally rival those of the gods, such as Beerus. But whether the fans like to accept it or not, the beloved Saiyans are still not invincible.
Here are several sure ways to defeat either Ultra Instinct Goku or Ultra Ego Vegeta:
Using the Evil Containment Wave (aka Mafuba)
The Evil Containment Wave (aka Mafuba) has been seen in the anime version of Dragon Ball Super as it was performed by Master Roshi. The technique was brought back from the original Dragon Ball series, when it was used by the turtle hermit, his master, as well as by Tien. At those times, the technique was very risky, as it could even cost a fighter his life. But as characters became stronger, that wasn’t a problem anymore.
What Mafuba does is that once it’s shot at an opponent, it will shrink him and trap him in a jar. As long as that jar is sealed, the opponent can never escape. The technique doesn’t even care how strong an opponent is – it should work on anybody. Therefore, using it against Ultra Instinct Goku or Ultra Ego Vegeta is a sure way of defeating the mighty Saiyans.
Asking the Eternal Dragon to do it
We’ve never seen the Eternal Dragon in any battle involving fists and energy waves, as he solves things much like a boss: without even moving. He is able to grant pretty much any wish that’s under his power to anyone who gathers the seven dragon balls. This means that getting him to defeat Ultra Instinct Goku or Ultra Ego Vegeta (or why not both?) is surely a method to consider. Furthermore, gathering all the seven dragon balls has proven to be very easy throughout the Dragon Ball franchise. All you need is enough time for it and the diligence required for the job.
Throughout the Dragon Ball franchise, the Eternal Dragon has been known to grant huge wishes such as bringing many people back from the dead, restoring entire planets back along with their inhabitants, deleting people’s memories about certain events, and many more. Therefore, why wouldn’t the dragon be able to defeat Goku and Vegeta?
Using a time travel machine and Vegeta’s love for Bulma
Time machines in Dragon Ball don’t represent anything new at all. You can ask Trunks. Therefore, you can use one to bring the Vegeta from a different timeline of the future or from the past back o forward in time, as his son did back in the old days of Dragon Ball Z. In this way, Vegeta would be face to face with his own self from a different timeline when he achieved the Ultra Ego technique. It would be one Vegeta in the Ultra Ego form vs. another Vegeta who didn’t achieve the transformation. But what could the “normal” Vegeta’s secret weapon be? It’s simple: his huge love for Bulma!
Remember when God of Destruction Beerus first came to Earth back in the Battle of Gods movie, or at the beginning of the Dragon Ball Super anime? He was far stronger than any other fighter, and not even Goku couldn’t lay a finger on him. But when Beerus slapped Bulma, that triggered an enormous power in Vegeta, and for a few moments, the Saiyan Prince overwhelmed Beerus and beat the living divine power out of him. Therefore, there’s a good chance that the power summoned by Vegeta as he sees his beloved wife getting slapped would be enough to defeat Ultra Ego Vegeta in a time-lapse gimmick.
It may be a little difficult to get Bulma as well to travel in time, but hey, it’s definitely worth giving it a try! Maybe an evil entity would possess the minds of both Goku and Vegeta in their Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego forms, respectively, and there you have it: Bulma would surely participate in saving the world, although it’s for a different timeline than the one she lives in.
Kicking them in the vital parts of any man
There’s no clue that the stronger a Dragon Ball character gets, even if we’re talking about Goku and Vegeta, the same thing will happen to their vital parts. Of course, hitting under the belt is cowardly, but hey, you want to defeat Ultra Instinct Goku or Ultra Ego Vegeta, right?
Saiyans usually have another weakness if they still have their tails intact. When someone grabs their tails, the Saiyans would simply lose all of their strength. But while Goku and Vegeta have no tails anymore, kicking them in the weak point of any man should also work, regardless of how strong they are.
