Dragon Ball is mostly about fights, but one important aspect of those fights is that they are often the result of long training sessions. For instance, Goku, the beloved Saiyan who is the pride and joy of Dragon Ball, has been trained by Master Roshi, Kami, King Kai, and Whis throughout his long and exciting adventures in Dragon Ball. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to be the hero of the show so many times.

The legendary Tenkaichi Budokai game series will be continued with a brand new game soon enough after a long hiatus of almost two decades. Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Budokai 3, which came out in 2007, is easily one of the best Dragon Ball games ever made. Therefore, the expectations for its continuation, known as Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO or Tenkaichi Budokai 4, are huge.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is coming soon

Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date for the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO game. All we know is that it’s coming soon, whatever that means. This should usually mean that we have a maximum of two months to wait for the game to come out, but only time will tell for sure.

In the meantime, let’s go ahead and feast our eyes on the new “Master and Apprentice” trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO game:

As you can see, the trailer reminds us of a lot of characters and their masters. Gohan’s training under Piccolo was the first master-student relationship in Dragon Ball Z, and it was also the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Piccolo, who, despite being a villain at that point, decided to train Gohan because he saw tremendous fighting potential in the boy. Piccolo needed all the help he could get for the arrival of the Saiyans on Earth, which was scheduled after one year.

Master Roshi, the trainer who taught Goku the iconic Kamehameha wave when the beloved Saiyan was just a child, has also been the master of Yamcha and Krillin. You may laugh at Yamcha and Krillin all you want for being weaker than the rest of the Z warriors, but even so, being trained by Master Roshi isn’t something that anyone can brag about in Dragon Ball. Master Roshi knows some truly devastating moves, such as the Mafuba (aka the Evil Containment Wave).

Beerus, the God of Destruction, was introduced in the Battle of Gods movie in 2013, and he had a higher power level than that of Goku. The Z warriors had to find a way to create a Super Saiyan God in order to pose a chance at defeating Beerus, who was stronger than all of them combined.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will feature many characters from DBS

Probably the stronghold of the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO game is that it will feature many characters from the Dragon Ball Super anime, which might be a premiere for Dragon Ball video games. The anime that ended in 2018 opened the door to a multitude of possibilities in Dragon Ball. According to Super, there are 12 universes forming a Multiverse in Dragon Ball, a concept that was never before heard in the franchise. Characters from other universes are about as strong or even stronger than Goku and Vegeta, such as Jiren, Toppo, Hit, and others. Those fighters even possess exceptional fighting techniques, which is why Goku and the gang often had a lot of trouble trying to defeat them.

We can reasonably expect Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO to be a load of fun when it comes out, as the game will definitely include a long roster of fighters and transformations. Stay tuned for more news on the subject!
