Toei Animation released the new Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie last month in North America and other parts of the world, meaning about two months after the original premiere in Japan. The movie marks a premiere for Dragon Ball-related films by leaving aside both Goku and Vegeta and bringing other characters to deal with the biggest threat.
Gohan and Piccolo are those Z warriors who are under the spotlight in the new movie, and they’ll have to face new powerful androids created by the Red Ribbon Army. There’s also a new version of the classical Dragon Ball Z villain known as Cell among those androids, only that he now has a different name, some new colors, much higher proportions, and a bigger passion for yelling.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Blu-ray comes out on December 7
The 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD version of the movie is coming out on December 7. However, you need to keep in mind that the release date is available for Japan, as those living in other parts of the world will likely have to wait a bit longer.

Goku and Vegeta are not completely absent from the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. They are seen training on Beerus’ planet alongside Broly. Goku and Vegeta are also fighting one another in base form as part of their training, and the outcome of the confrontation is indeed surprising.
It has recently been revealed that Dragon Ball will also have a web anime coming out in 2023 alongside the return of the Dragon Ball Super anime. How the web show will be and what story it shall unfold is anybody’s guess at this point, but we’ll surely find out more soon enough!
