The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite fighting game has proven very well that the legendary franchise can never stop in providing unforgettable RPGs for the fans. But even so, gaming goes through constant changing, along with technology in general.
Bandai Namco, the publisher behind Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, brings the following announcement:
We would like to announce that “DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Lite” will be terminated on March 23, 2022 (PDT)/March 24, 2022 (JST). In accordance with the termination, we will be releasing a new “DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Lite” around the beginning of April 2022. The save data of the old “DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Lite” can be transferred to the new “DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Lite.” Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Therefore, you’ll have just a week to survive without the free version of the game. Obviously, we’re talking just about the free edition for PlayStation 4 users.
Along with its history of almost six years, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has received some pretty interesting improvements in accordance with the latest events from the related animes. For instance, Jiren, in his full power mode, was added to the game last year. For those who don’t know, we’re talking about one of the strongest characters in the history of the Dragon Ball franchise. He gave Goku and the gang a lot of headaches back in the Tournament of Power arc from the Dragon Ball Super anime.
As for his full power phase, that was an entirely different thing for Jiren. That state gave the fighter tremendous strength that he used for the final showdown against Ultra Instinct Goku. The outcome of the battle was entirely unexpected, which is why we strongly encourage every Dragon Ball fan out there to see the Tournament of Power arc from Dragon Ball Super!
