This week, Techland, the company behind games like Dying Light and Dying Light 2, teased their upcoming big project.
While we don’t yet know the game’s official name, we do know that it will be a fantasy role-playing game, which sets it apart from the Dying Light series.
The most recent teaser from Techland revealed some concept art and reiterated the company’s dedication to making “compelling story-focused” games.
In the most recent Techland teaser, a character was seen clinging to a tree and gazing out at what appeared to be a fantasy landscape.
A partially destroyed moon or maybe a planet of some kind looms in the sky behind a mountaintop community, which is surrounded by hints of other biomes.
About this new game, Techland said that “We never stop improving! Our newest game is set to be a narrative driven fantasy epic with an open world ready to get explored. We strive to create a compelling story focused AAA title that combines and refines the very best aspects of gameplay that Techland’s known for.”

This game’s first teaser was released in May 2022, so it has been a while since we have heard anything new about it.
The previous tease from Techland included comments from the studio about the upcoming project that deviates from what Techland is usually known for as well as job postings where the developer was hiring for the game.
Last year, Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka partially stated that “We want to create a fully next gen experience. A brand new fantasy epic set in this sprawling open world, all fueled by the skills and experience we’ve gained as a team over these years, infused with new ideas, creativity and passion. While we can’t share more details about the project now, we are all truly invested in it and really looking forward to showing it to gamers when the time is right.”
