The setting of the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls 6 has been the subject of speculation since the game’s announcement. Because each Elder Scrolls game takes place in its own distinct region of Tamriel, a small number of underdeveloped locations have dominated the aforementioned discussion.
The province of High Rock has been rumored to be the location of The Elder Scrolls 6. High Rock, a remote and enigmatic region, is home to a wealth of intriguing places that might be included in the next Elder Scrolls game.
- Rivenspire
High Rock’s geopolitical quest lines are likely to originate in the Rivenspire area, which has great historical and political significance in High Rock. The great Bretonic houses of Montclair, Tamrith, and Dorell are at an impasse in their struggle for control of the territory known as Rivenspire. The importance of Rivenspire, with its many historic graves and battlefields, to any narrative set in the High Rock region can hardly be overstated. In Rivenspire, the Crypt of Hearts is an example of an ancient ruin housing the relics of a long-lost school of destruction magic.
The indigenous Breton race of High Rock is widely believed to possess powerful magical skills, and this site plays a crucial role in elucidating their history.
- Daggerfall
Daggerfall, the main location of the legendary The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, is without a doubt the most well-known big city in all of High Rock. Daggerfall is the capital of the Daggerfall Kingdom, one of the province’s eight main Kingdoms. Daggerfall is the most populous city in High Rock, therefore it’s only fitting that any game set there includes it.
Daggerfall, one of the greatest towns in the resource-rich Iliac Bay and perched on the slope of a mountain, is widely regarded as one of the most powerful city-states in all of Tamriel. Daggerfall, located in the High Rock region and surrounded by alpine coves known to contain dangerous monsters and devious gangs, would be one of the most diverse and intriguing settings in an Elder Scrolls 6 game.
- Alcaire
The capital city of Alcaire has a significant impact on the province of High Rock. If The Elder Scrolls 6 takes place in High Rock, then it would be a disservice to fans if the city of Alcaire wasn’t included prominently.
Alcaire serves as the seat of a powerful and populous lordship that spans much of the surrounding territory, and its citizens revere the god Kynareth. Tiber Septim, the infamous creator of the Third Empire and a major player in Tamriel’s history, is widely believed to have been born in the city of Alcaire. The Alcaire Knights are a chivalric order based in Alcaire that has been sworn to defend the coast of High Rock against invaders since the Second Era.
- Wayrest
Wayrest, capital of the province of High Rock, is another thriving metropolis with a large population that is often regarded as one of the wealthiest and most visually attractive settlements in all of Tamriel. Wayrest is the most populous and prosperous of High Rock’s eight principal kingdoms because of its proximity to the Bjoulsae River.
Wayrest is a heavily walled city that has a significant religious tradition, devoting its adoration to the Akatosh, a god referenced repeatedly in The Elder Scroll. The fact that the city is the seat of the vampire clan known as the Montalian is one of its more intriguing features.
- Balfiera
High Rock governs a small group of islands, among which is the Isle of Balfiera. Balfiera, one of the biggest islands in Iliac Bay, is famous as the seat of the Direnni Hegemony, a long-lived and powerful family of High Elves.
High Rock is home to several elfin species, and its native Bretons are often believed to be descended from ancient elves. This is because Bretons have a strong connection to the arcane and share many physical traits with elves. High Rock’s history isn’t complete without mentioning the Direnni Hegemony, a once-powerful political entity that fell victim to the island’s explosive Breton population expansion. Balfiera’s presence in The Elder Scrolls 6 would be monumental since it would enable players to investigate such a pivotal part of High Rock’s history.
