SM Entertainment announced that Xiumin had been tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The agency wrote that the diagnosis was confirmed today. The idol was previously tested at the end of July, and the test was negative. After experiencing symptoms, he was tested again yesterday, and the diagnosis released today confirmed the coronavirus infection.
All EXO members and staff will self-isolate
The agency also revealed that after Xiumin’s positive coronavirus test, all members and staff would go into quarantine, and they will be waiting on their PCR test results. Xiumin is currently part of the cast of the Korean version of ‘Hadestown’. SM Entertainment wrote that they also contacted all other programs and cast Xiumin was in close contact with over the last few days. The singer and actor will suspend all activities and follow the official procedures and guidance of South Korean health officials. Once he will test negative and finish self-isolation, Xiumin will return to his activities.

The original musical was adapted from the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Eurydice was Orpheus’s wife, and she got killed. Orpheus loved her so much that he went to the underworld to bring her back. He was a skilled musician and poet and the underworld god, Hades, allowed him to return to the world of the living. The first musical ‘Hadestown’ was on Broadway in 2019, and it has been a real success.
The South Korean version will have Xiumin, Park Kang Hyun, and Jo Hyung Gyun will play the main lead, Orpheus. Kim Hwan Hee and Kim Soo Ha will play Eurydice. Choi Jae Rim and Kang Hong Suk will play the God Hermes, and Kim Soo Ha and Kim Hwan Hee will play Persephone. Yang Joo Mo, Ji Hyun Joon and Kim Woo Hyun will play Hades. The musical will be performed at the LG Art Center this month.
