FIFA 22 is not all about the footballers who are the best nowadays, as the game often reminds us of retired legends. Regardless of how impressive Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland is now, we can never forget about other huge footballers who wrote histories, such as Zinedine Zidane, Pele, Maradona, and many more.
Ggrecon.com presents tier lists of the best FIFA 22 Ultimate Team heroes, and they’re not based on overalls as much as some people might have wanted. Instead, performance and stats were the main criterions this time. Therefore, here are the lists, along with a few observations from us:
S-Tier
- Abedi Pele (Ghana)
- David Ginola (France)
- Jürgen Kohler (Germany)
- Antonio Di Natale (Italy)
- Ivan Cordoba (Colombia)
Seeing Italian and German footballers in the top tier was a ‘must’ in our opinion, as those nations have written serious history when it comes to world-class football. The national teams of both Germany and Italy won the World Cup 4 times in history. Only Brazil stays in front of them with five trophies.
A-Tier
- Fernando Morientes (Spain)
- Joe Cole (England)
- Jerzy Dudek (Poland)
- Ole Gunnar Solskjær (Norway)
- Diego Milito (Argentina)
- Aleksandr Mostovoi (Russia)
Morientes, for instance, has been playing for a few big clubs in his career. Therefore, his appearance on the roster shouldn’t surprise anyone. He spent his career at teams such as Liverpool, Real Madrid, Valencia, and Monaco. Morientes also won the Champions League trophy three times.
B-Tier
- Freddie Ljungberg (Sweden)
- Jorge Campos (Mexico)
- Gomez
- Robbie Keane (Ireland)
It’s not clear which Gomez the publication is referring to here, but we assume that it’s the German striker Mario Gomez. If so, his appearance is normal, as the footballer has won some important trophies during his career: Champions League once, the german championship three times, and more.
C-Tier
- Lars Ricken (Germany)
- Tim Cahill (Australia)
- Sami Al-Jaber (Saudi Arabia)
- Clint Dempsey (USA)
Seeing such nationalities in the C-Tier is indeed exciting, as it’s proof that it doesn’t matter in football what country you are from as long as you’re playing well.
