FiveM is a GTA RP client that kept getting better since it was launched.
The client became so popular that its developers have recently revealed that t reached a peak of 250,000 simultaneous players over the weekend.
That number is particularly impressive, especially when you compare it to the number of players online on Rockstar’s official servers, which rarely peaks over 100k players simultaneously nowadays.
One of the main reasons why FiveM is so successful is its similarity to GTA RP.
Since the NoPixel server introduced its 3.0 update, numerous Twitch streamers like SodaPoppin and Summit1G gave FiveM more exposure by streaming their gameplay (and having lots of fun in doing that).
GTA RP is very popular among Twitch streamers, mainly thanks to the kind of content and storytelling it has to offer.
The rules are very strict. In some cases, gunning down a player will permanently kill their character.
Also, by doing that, you will be held accountable by a police officer, another real player.
Another streamer took a break from the game, as taking up numerous in-game jobs felt too much like having real-life jobs.
However, many players are often roleplaying as real-life characters, which leads to numerous funny situations.
However, FiveM can be more than GTA RP. FiveM is more than a mod for GTA Online, allowing you to join any server you want.
Also, a custom Red Dead Online server is available. There are numerous dedicated servers for racing and other various mini-games.
Here’s a screenshot showing the player count of the mode:

Curiously, FiveM is becoming more popular than GTA 5 on Steam.
One year ago, GTA 5 was a freebie on Epic last year, which gave the game a refreshing boost.
