As Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is getting closer to an end, Epic Games releases a new update.
Fortnite update 19.40 will soon air, welcoming a huge batch of things, like a new Spider-Man skin, Amazing Web Week, more weekly challenges, and, of course, some much-needed bug fixes. We’ve compiled a cool list of everything you should know, including the downtime details.
Fortnite 19.40 Update: Server Downtime
The new Fortnite 19.40 update is expected to air at 1 AM/ 4 AM ET/ 9 AM GMT on March 1. The matchmaking will be disabled for 30 minutes.
According to previous updates, the downtime should last anywhere between one hour and two hours, but that depends on how much content Epic chooses to add.

Fortnite 19.40 Update: New Spider-Man Skin
Well, you’ve probably thought you won’t hear much about Spidey again, right? According to Epic, we’ll get one more Spider-Man skin soon!
The new skin will likely arrive in the two weeks following the 19.40 update. How cool is this? And even if we don’t know much about what form Spider-Man could come with this time, we really hope for a Tobey Maguire skin.
Or maybe Miles Morales?
Fingers crossed that Epic Games will add the best Spider-Man skin so far!
Fortnite 19.40 Update: Amazing Web Week
Epic Games turns the first week of March into an Amazing Web Week featuring our beloved Spidey!
From March 1 to March 9, we’ll get a new set of challenges to complete and some sleek Web-Shooters, too, The best thing is that the bouncers will be unvaulted so that you can find them in Supply Drops or as floor loot. How cool is that?
Fortnite 19.40 Update: Adjust Time of Day in Replays
You can now change the time of day right when watching replays in the game! Just select the camera settings and navigate the clock icon, and you’ll be ready to experience the new thing.
Fortnite 19.40 Update: New Themed Wild Week
The Bownanza Week was a total success, mainly because we got the bows from Chapter 2: Season 6. But we might see more of that as update 19.40 will soon go live!
Unfortunately, we don’t know yet what that means, but Epic Games hinted about a new batch of special quests’ to complete and earn that sweet XP!

Fortnite 19.40 Update: Proximity Voice Chat Added to Impostors Mode
Epic has just updated the Impostors (Voice) playlist, and now it uses proximity voice chat. That means you can hear someone based on who’s closest to your character!
Fortnite 19.40 Update: Bug Fixes
Finally, update 19.40 is expected to keep the game running smoothly by adding the following bug fixes:
- STW default Lobby Track is not playing anymore (Save The World);
- Fire effects are displayed as yellow rectangles in certain areas on Xbox Series X/S;
- Outfits sometimes glow with blue FX in the Lobby.
