As expected, today’s release of Fortnite Update 21.40 brought with it a slew of new features and challenges. Fortnite’s Dragon Ball Z crossover event is here, complete with new skins, challenges, rewards, and islands, courtesy of Epic Games’ latest update. When will the Fortnite Tournament of Power begin?
The date of the first round of the Tournament of Power is set for Thursday, August 18th, 2022. If you play in teams of two, you can complete 10 matches in three hours.
Regarding the Tournament of Power
The duos tournament is played in the game’s basic Battle Royale mode. Special powers such as the “Kamehameha” and the “Nimbus Cloud” (Kintoun) will also be on display throughout the competition.
Capsule Corp. has arranged for the Kamehameha to be delivered by parachute in each game. If you want to destroy your enemies with destructive energy beams, you can use the Kamehameha, or you can summon the Nimbus Cloud (Kintoun) and soar over the island.
Participating in the Tournament of Power: A Guide
Follow these instructions to sign up for the Tournament of Power:
- You must be a Division 1 player or higher.
- The second step is to check that two-factor authentication is installed and working properly.
- You’ll need to go to the Fortnite Competitive page before each game and select the cup to play for.

- Using the Kamehameha, you can earn the Beerus Eating Spray after three successful eliminations.
- Earn Goku’s Kanji Banner Icon by reaching level 8 on the Main Leaderboard.
- You earn the Angry Vegeta emoji if you place in the top half of the Main Leaderboard.
