Four Major Ways Frieza Could Affect the Plot When Dragon Ball Super Returns to the Big Screens

Frieza is not exactly the kind of individual who would give flowers to girls. In fact, he would use every dirty trick in the book to take down his opponent. Any fan of the famous Dragon Ball Z anime knows it very well, and it was confirmed in Dragon Ball Super.

However, the makers of Super had some very interesting plans for the former intergalactic tyrant. Frieza had to join the Z fighters and fight for the survival of the entire universe at the Tournament of Power. As you’ve already guessed if you haven’t seen the show, he didn’t do it as a result of kindness. Frieza was promised by Goku the full resurrection by using the dragon balls. Frieza competed in the tournament, and he did it pretty well. Goku didn’t need to do all of the hard work of collecting the dragon balls and wish Frieza back to life. Beerus and Whis made Frieza alive again, which means that we can expect only the worst from the former intergalactic tyrant. Let’s see how Frieza can affect the plot when the Dragon Ball Super anime returns:

Train hard again to eliminate Goku

This is perhaps the most plausible and boring scenario. Frieza will never be over the fact that “a Saiyan monkey” like Goku surpassed him in strength, humiliated him in the battle from Namek, and killed him on Earth. Frieza hates Goku with every atom in his being. At this point, the beloved Saiyan is way beyond Frieza in terms of power, but we all know how things usually go in Dragon Ball: Frieza can become stronger with just a little training or even none.

But the former henchman of Frieza, the Saiyan Prince Vegeta, has also taught the tyrant a lesson. That means double trouble and another strong reason for Frieza to match the two Saiyans’ powers.

Gather the dragon balls and ask for eternal life

A villain asking for immortality in Dragon Ball wouldn’t be something new at all. Zamasu did it as well, giving Goku and the gang a lot of headaches. Zeno, the mightiest god of all, had to step in and obliterate Zamasu along with an entire universe. Frieza could follow the same path and ask the Eternal Dragon for immortality. The next step will obviously be to try taking Goku and Vegeta down. Frieza could proclaim himself the ruler of Earth and destroy it afterward, or Zeno knows what else he would have in mind at that point.

Destroy the Earth without any warning

Remember when Majin Buu blew up the whole Earth without any sign of hesitation or remorse? Frieza could do the same if there’s nobody to stay in his way. Furthermore, it would be one sure way of getting rid of Goku and Vegeta without even fighting them head-on. Humans and Saiyans can’t breathe in cosmic space, but Frieza can do it. The intergalactic tyrant even did it before, but it was for the time-reverse technique of Whis that Goku could get another chance to battle Frieza and eliminate him before destroying the planet.

Frieza destroyed the Earth at the beginning of the Dragon Ball Super series or in the “Resurrection of ‘’F’” movie, when the evil tyrant came back to Earth to have his revenge on Goku. Accompanied by an entire army, Frieza looked like he had the upper hand. But the forces of good prevailed once again, and both Goku and Vegeta gave Frieza the beating of his life. In an act of desperation and with nothing else to do, Frieza said “you can all go to Hell without me!” and ignited a devastating blast towards the Earth’s core. The planet was destroyed, but Goku and the others escaped due to a special ability of Whis. The angel reversed time and fixed everything.

Destroy the Gods of Destruction to take their place

Did we say that Frieza is the kind of guy who would kill someone in his sleep? Yes, we did. This fellow has no morals whatsoever. If he becomes powerful enough, he will kill even the gods to take their role, and this would be a major plot twist. We’re pretty much sure that not even MUI Goku can beat Beerus, which means that Frieza would need to train hard to defeat a God of Destruction.

When the Gods themselves cannot compete with evil, we’re tempted to say that a higher order would intervene. In our case, Zeno would step in as he did it before to help Goku. But Zeno acts childish and he doesn’t seem to be on either side of the coin most of the time. He had to be convinced that Zamasu is evil and needs to go.

Don’t think even for a second that Frieza will follow the same path as Vegeta or Piccolo and become one of the good guys. Frieza is bad to the bone, and he’ll never turn away from his diabolical plans. We’ve already seen the tyrant killing someone close to Broly in the “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” movie, only to unleash the Saiyan’s cataclysmic powers.
