Frieza is arguably the most terrifying Dragon Ball villain. He may have been far beneath Cell or Majin Buu in terms of raw strength, but he has clearly become stronger than ever in the Dragon Ball Super anime. We’re talking about the former intergalactic tyrant who exterminated the Saiyan race, except for only a few of them. Goku and Vegeta were obviously among those surviving Saiyans.
Frieza was known from the start as being evil to the core. He would kill anyone who stands in his way, and he’s the kind of fiend who won’t have any trace of remorse after such an action.
Despite all that, Frieza had his little moments in Dragon Ball when he was actually a pretty decent fellow. In fact, those moments were extremely surprising even for the biggest Dragon Ball fans.

3. Eliminating Dyspo
Frieza participated in the Tournament of Power alongside the Z warriors for saving the entire Universe. However, the former tyrant did it only to be fully revived by Goku with the dragon balls. In the tournament, he had to face Dyspo, a warrior from a different universe who possesses incredible skills. He moves fast as the speed of light, giving our heroes a lot of headaches. However, Frieza agreed to team up with Gohan, and it turned out to be a successful formula. Dyspo was eliminated. The fact that Frieza accepted to team up with the son of the fighter he hates the most is a pretty nice thing to do for a guy like the former intergalactic tyrant.
2. Saving Goku from elimination
During the same Tournament of Power, Frieza was kind enough to help Goku, his sworn rival. He did it when giving the Saiyan energy after the exhausting fight against Jiren. The second time was when Goku almost fell over the arena after receiving a punch from Aniraza. Frieza was there to push the “Saiyan monkey” back into the arena. Sure, everyone will say that it was in Frieza’s interest to lend Goku a hand since both were in the same team. But saving your sworn enemy still remains a noble act.
1. Eliminating Jiren while fighting alongside Goku
The number one gesture goes to the defeat of Jiren after teaming up with Goku. At his time, Jiren was the strongest opponent that Goku ever had to face. Jiren was also fighting for the survival of his own universe, which doesn’t make him a villain. He was so strong that not even the Spirit Bomb could produce any damage. But Universe 7’s biggest power is trust, and Goku worked in a great way alongside Frieza to take the great Jiren down. The victory also meant the winning of the Tournament by Universe 7, as Android 17 was the only fighter left standing. Therefore, Frieza had an enormous contribution to the salvation of the universe.
Despite such incredible moments, Frieza remains bad to the bone. We must not think even for a moment that he’ll become one of the good guys, as it happened with Piccolo and Vegeta, who were also once evil. Frieza is a much more different character.
We’re eagerly waiting to see what Frieza will do next in Dragon Ball, as he was fully revived at the end of the Tournament of Power. He’ll surely be up to no good, as he himself admitted. But Goku will be there once again to stop the former tyrant, as the beloved Saiyan himself announced.
