We knew for quite a while that Santa Monica and Sony are preparing to bring God of War Ragnarök to PlayStation consoles this year. A new trailer for the upcoming game just became available, and it confirms our previous hunch that the title comes out this year in November.
The trailer also confirms that PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will be the only platforms running the game, which is a little surprising. However, this doesn’t mean that the fans can’t hope for other platforms, such as Windows PCs or Nintendo Switch, to offer support for the next God of War as well.
God of War Ragnarök launches on November 9
The new official release date cinematic trailer confirms, without any room for misinterpretation, that the next game from the beloved God of War series is indeed coming out in just about four months. Feel free to watch it below:
In the upcoming game, Kratos and Atreus are those under the spotlight. They’ll have to travel to each one of the Nine Realms. They will also have to prepare for a devastating battle that seems to be destined of ending the entire world. But they’ll probably cross that bridge when they come to it!
As an official description continues to say:
Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, gather allies from across the realms, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus find themselves choosing between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms…
Are you ready to throw caution to the wind and join the fierce battles from the new God of War game? The last game of the series was launched in 2018, and it also started as a PlayStation-exclusive game. A PC version was released this year in January, so there’s plenty of hope that the upcoming game won’t be available only for PlayStation consoles.
