The Pixel 7a is more of a mid-range phone, whereas the Xiaomi 13 is definitely a flagship. The only similarity between these two gadgets is their size. They’re even visually distinct from one another. Yet some may be wondering: which smartphone model is really worth the upgrade? We’ll go into further depth by comparing both phones’ specs and features.
Check out the spec sheet below for more details:
Despite its bigger screen, the Xiaomi 13 is slightly shorter than the Pixel 7a and slimmer and thinner. These two phones share an incredible aluminum chassis but have distinctive covers. However, when held in hand, they really feel like premium devices.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 13 is a gaming powerhouse thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while Google’s Pixel 7a is powered by the company’s own Tensor G2 engine.
What’s really interesting here is how the Xiaomi 13 outperforms the Google Pixel 7a in terms of water and dust resistance. The phone is water- and dustproof up to the IP68 standard. How cool!
But Xiaomi 13 easily outperforms the Pixel 7a again because it’s capable of 50W of wireless power, 67W of wired power, and 10W of reverse wireless power. On the other hand, the Pixel 7a supports 18W of wired power and 7.5W of wireless power. What a difference! And compared to the Pixel 7a, the charging time for the Xiaomi 13 is significantly shorter when using either a wired connection or wireless charging because surprise! The phone actually comes with a charger in the box.
Coming to camera capabilities, we can say that both phones perform admirably in dim conditions. However, the Xiaomi 13’s Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant modes will make your images look more true to life.
Have you tried a Pixel or Xiaomi experience? What are your thoughts on both phones’ development?
