Play Store changes, a rebranding of Google Wallet, and more will be included in the July 2022 Google Play System Update Google has officially begun pushing out the newest Google Play System upgrade to Pixel smartphones after releasing the July 2022 Android security fixes last week. Among the many new features in the newest Google Play Store update are the rebranding of Google Wallet, new APIs to assist developers in creating cross-platform apps, and more.
Updates to the Play Store’s Play-as-you-download feature, new features to help users discover applications and games, optimizations for app download and installation, and additional capabilities for the Play Pass and Play Points programs are included in the July 2022 support page. This version also includes the rebranding of Google Wallet, which Google announced at I/O this year. For a complete listing of all the alterations and enhancements, see the changelog listed below.
