Grand Theft Auto 6: What Do Users Want?

Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games of all time. The rumor mill is running strong as fans attempt to unearth any clues pertaining to the next installment in the lucrative and successful series. The official statements do hint that the studios have some surprises in store:

“We don’t know what GTA 6 will be, but we’ve got some ideas,” said Benzies in the interview. “We’ve got about 45 years’ worth of ideas we want to do. We’ll pick the right ones. It comes from the idea first. Where it is going to be set is the first question. That then defines the missions; you’re doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the mission in,” declared the former Rockstar president.

Let’s take a look at some of the speculations:

Better graphics

Reports seem to indicate that Grand Theft Auto 6 will receive a graphical upgrade from its current version. The game will be running on updated versions of Rockstar’s shaders, lighting, and post effects software. Geometry and materials for buildings will be enhanced to give a more 3D look. And more detailed pedestrians, cars, and aircraft will likely be added into the mix as well.

Japanese setting?

For a game called GTA: Tokyo, Rockstar visited the Japanese city some years ago as a research journey. Although the video game concept was reportedly finally cloaked, the Studio met residents and collected a good amount of photos. A source claims Rockstar was determined to make a Japanese -style video game. While the idea was scrapped back then, there is a chance the Japanese setting will be used for the upcoming GTA installment.

Story

With the 1970s/80s setting, a Reddit leak from last year indicated that the game would include a single male lead called “Ricardo.” However, the last Fireden leak mentioned four protagonists – 2 cops and 2 gangsters. The report claims that the primary narrative divides after some time, and that the criminals have a kind of sandbox game at hand. At the same time, the police characters go through the classic route of an action game.
