Rockstar prepares something that will surely shock the entire gaming industry and make a lot of the Grand Theft Auto fans go wild. The GTA Remastered Trilogy is in the works, meaning that hugely exciting and important titles from the legendary series will be remastered. The titles are GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City, and GTA III.
But GTA 5 continuously receives updates from its developers, and it will likely continue in the same rhythm. The online mode (commonly known as GTA Online) is still very popular. That could cause a delay in the release of the GTA Remastered Trilogy.
GTA Remastered Trilogy could be delayed until 2022
According to a new article from Dexerto, a notable industry leaker named Tom Henderson brings valuable information while speaking for the Gold Gold Podcast and TheMW2Ghost. Henderson clearly said that the remastered trilogy would be available in 2022. He motivated by saying that “to release a banger like the trilogy remaster, even in the same year, is weird”.
GTA III was released twenty years ago, and although its graphics are considered extremely obsolete compared to the gaming standards from nowadays, the game was the first 3D creation of its legendary series. What came next was an unprecedented hegemony, culminating with the insane popularity of GTA 5 and its online mode.
GTA Vice City was released two years after GTA III, and it did an excellent job in recreating the ‘80s vibe of life in Miami. With enhanced graphics and addictive gameplay, GTA Vice City became one of the best-selling games in history.
GTA San Andreas was released in 2004, and it has a much larger map than both of the afore-mentioned games. The gameplay was also significantly better, and it even beats many games nowadays, judging only by this criterion.
