Classic Indiana Jones moments were sprinkled throughout the breathtaking trailer, which included some sleek tuk-tuk races through dusty Moroccan streets (amazing!), Jones fully displayed in quite the role: riding a horse through a New York street parade and bravely jumping out of a burning plane with Waller-Bridge. Another scene shows a huge rolling boulder could also be spotted!
What’s really intriguing is that the movie focuses on quite an old tale. Jones is surprised by a villain (Mads Mikkelsen) who says:
Hitler committed errors and with this I shall fix them all.
Such a thing is definitely keeping the film series’ recurring Nazi motif alive, isn’t it?!
Discussing the cast, Harrison Ford reprises his role as professor and beloved traveler Indiana Jones in James Mangold’s fifth Indiana Jones film. In the trailer we can also spot Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who plays Indiana Jones’ goddaughter (how cute!).
Dial of Destiny also stars Ethann Isidore, Thomas Kretschmann, Shaunette Renée Wilson, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, and Antonio Banderas.
FUN FACT: Ford is 80 in real life, while Indiana Jones is 70!
The upcoming movie will be directed by James Mangold, while The Last Crusade (1989), Crystal Skull (1989), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), and Temple of Doom (1984) were the four Indiana Jones films that Steven Spielberg directed (2008). Well, changes are sometimes really good, and we really hope for a pleasant surprise from the new director!
