After episode 5 of The Last of Us streamed on HBO earlier than usual ahead of the Super Bowl, the show will resume on Sunday at its normal hour.
Before we find out more, let’s first recap what happened last time!
The most wanted man in Kansas, Henry, who is played by Lamar Johnson, and his younger brother Sam, played by Keivonn Woodard, were seen escaping a rebel overthrown QZ with Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey’ Ellie in last week’s episode appropriately titled “Endure and Survive.”
When an infected Sam turned overnight, a shocked Henry was forced to kill his beloved sibling before even fully realizing the situation and shooting himself in the head in front of a traumatized Ellie.
Before the tragedy, the four had agreed to go together to Wyoming and find Joel’s brother Tommy, played by Gabriel Luna.
Naturally, Joel and Ellie have no choice but to continue their dangerous journey all on their own again and this is where tonight’s episode titled “Kin” will pick up the story.
The Last of Us’ sixth episode will debut on HBO and HBO Max tonight, Sunday, February 19 at 9 PM ET and 6 PM PT.
The HBO schedule states that the duration of episode 6 is 62 minutes. That’s a little bit longer than episode 2 (56 minutes), episode 4 (51 minutes), and episode 5 (61 minutes), but it’s significantly shorter than episodes 3 and 1, which lasted 81 and 85 minutes respectively.
In between episodes of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO, encore broadcasts will be shown at 10:01 PM ET / 7:01 PM PT, 11:37 PM ET / 8:37 PM ET, and 1:15 AM ET / 11:15 PM PT.
Up until the season finale set to air on March 12 wraps up the first game’s storyline, new episodes will continue to air on HBO and HBO Max every Sunday.
