Hogwarts Legacy’s Biggest Character Customization Problem

With Hogwarts Legacy, players may give their characters original names, personalize their wands, and dress them however they want, and it’s no surprise given the fact that character customization in most role-playing games is taken very seriously.

Through a custom character they create, players may discover the mysteries of the castle and its surroundings.

However, the customization menu is deficient in two key areas that would significantly improve the character development process. RPGs have long offered these choices; even the old The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim took care to offer such options.

This makes their omission in Portkey Games’ most recent release particularly puzzling and actually detracts from the experience.

If the player doesn’t manage to make their character look properly, particularly when trying to make themselves in-game, it might all seem pointless.

Thankfully, Hogwarts Legacy offers a wide variety of character customization possibilities.

Players may express themselves thanks to the easy transmog system, which enables them to dress whichever they choose without compromising stats or benefits.

Basically, players are free to create their own protagonist, which is a relief, but the character creation screen still needs work.

In this manner, the absence of nose and mouth customization, although appearing to be a small issue, may significantly affect immersion, which is a huge problem in RPGs.

While not a huge deal, one thing that most players can agree on is that being able to change the nose and mouth shape could take the creation of their unique character to the next level.

Unfortunately, that is not currently possible.

Despite the fact that these characteristics are a crucial component of everyone’s face players may only alter them by choosing one of the few basic character models and starting from there.

It is difficult to combine the lips of one character model with the nose of another, despite the fact that this does offer some variation and customization.

With so many possibilities available for face shape, eye color, and haircut, these restrictions in Hogwarts Legacy’s character creation might seem annoying and out of place.

Unfortunately, players will currently have to settle for the few options available.

A substantial modding community has already developed for the game, which may one day be able to provide some kind of a solution to this problem.

Hopefully, Hogwarts Legacy will soon make up for the fact that it does not currently provide mouth and nose customization, which is still one of the game’s major flaws.
