The Huawei P50 series is finally here, and we couldn’t be more excited! After many speculations and leaks, Huawei welcomes the Huawei P50 and the Huawei P50 Pro, the new flagship smartphones.
Both phones feature a unique rear design, with a sleek capsule-like camera module and edges. There are, of course, some differences when it comes to specs, but we’ve compiled a list of everything you should know about the Huawei P50 series.

Display settings
The Huawei P50 flaunts a 6.5-inch full HD+ OLED panel with a 144Hz high frequency, a resolution of 1224×2700, and up to a 90Hz refresh rate.
The other model sports a 6.6-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 144Hz high frequency, an FHD+ resolution of 1228×2700 pixels, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
Hardware and software specs
Under the hood, the Huawei P50 Pro draws its power from two processor variants, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and a HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipset.
The processors are paired with up to 12GB RAM + 512GB onboard storage. A MicroSD for extra storage is also available.
On the other hand, the Huawei P50 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The phone also supports a MicroSD for extra storage.
The Huawei P50 series ships with HarmonyOS 2 out-of-the-box.
Camera skills
Coming to camera capabilities, the Huawei P50 houses a triple camera module including a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 5x optical zoom, a 12MP telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture 50x digital zoom, OIS, and a 13MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
As for the Huawei P50 Pro, we get a 50MP primary camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 40MP monochrome lens with f/1.6 aperture, 3.5x optical zoom, a 64MP telephoto shooter with f/3.5 aperture, 100x digital zoom, and a 13MP wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture.
Upfront, both phones feature a 13MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and autofocus.
Battery capacity
The Huawei P50 Pro packs a 4,360mAh battery with 66W Wired Super Fast Charge, reverse charging, and 50W Wireless Super Fast Charge, too.
The other variant comes with a 4,100mAh battery with 66W Wired Super Fast Charge.
Huawei P50 Series Price Tag and Availability
The Huawei P50 will come with a price tag of $690 (approx.), and it will go on sale from September. The variants available will include Snowy White, Cocoa Tea Gold, and Yao Gold Black.
On the other hand, the Huawei P50 Pro will go on sale on August 8, with a price tag of $930 (approx.). The pre-orders are now available for color variants like Rippling Clouds, Cocoa Tea Gold, Yao Gold Black, Snowy White, and Dawn Powder.
The company announced that the Kirin variants would go on sale from September.
