More links, please! Instagram seems to have finally understood what we want, and we couldn’t be more excited. According to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, your Instagram bio may now have up to five links. How cool is that?! He recently made the announcement after explaining that the feature of adding more links in the bio was actually one of the most requested ones.
So, how does it work now? Simple. By modifying your profile on your device app, you add links and change their order of appearance (that’s really innovative and so necessary!) by giving them names. As a result, the one that visits your profile will still need to click through the notice “[Your first link] and 1 other” to actually see the full list of links you’ve just added.
Practically, people will always need to click on your links if you have more than one on either your Instagram profile or possibly a “Link in bio” service like Linktree (so popular nowadays!).
What are your thoughts about this Instagram upgrade?
Well, as Zuckerberg said, the add more links in your bio was truly necessary, especially for content creators who want to highlight their work in the best manner ever. Seeing the Meta CEO bringing what its public needs it’s also exciting because of the feedback it’s always important!
Even so, having the “add more links in your bio” integrated into Instagram is a useful tool that can attract users searching for a new social media network. And let’s just admit, after Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, we all need our safe space on Instagram! It appears like Meta was somehow motivated by Twitter to begin offering some paid verification. However, Meta’s version at least has its advantages, which are direct customer service rather than the embarrassment of Twitter Blue (ouch!).
